Brief description of course and learning outcomes:
The Advanced Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering program will provide students with the technical knowledge and abilities necessary to expand their career opportunities in the electrical & electronics industry, particularly in the upkeep of the building's electrical services. Students will also become proficient in energy management, electrical work, production unit installation, and electrical design. The graduates will have sufficient problem-solving skills and the ability to manage electrical facilities effectively. By comprehending the concepts of power systems, electrical power and maintenance of electrical systems that are crucial for business operations, students will be able to adapt and update in the dynamic environment. As one of the requirements of the BCA green mark assessment for buildings, the program is designed to deliver and educate on electrical system design for buildings, BAS (Building Automation System), maintenance of electrical system, electrical installation, monitoring & conducting energy audits, and optimal energy usage for the building.
Course Objectives:
On completion of the course, learners should be able to:1. Demonstrate the understanding by solving Engineering problems through the application of Engineering principles.
2. Use engineering design to create solutions that address specific demands while taking into account aspects such as public health, safety, and welfare as well as regional, national, international, social, cultural, and economic considerations.
3. Examine ethical and professional obligations in engineering settings and reach well-informed decisions that take into account how engineering solutions will affect societal, economic, environmental, and global contexts.
4. Describe how a team that consists of individuals who work well together to define goals, schedule tasks, and achieve objectives can function well.
5. Ability to identify, formulate and analyze real-life electrical engineering problems.
6. Design and develop sophisticated equipment and experimental systems for carrying out detailed investigations to multifaceted electrical engineering problems.
7. Tell about the basics of measurement & automation and the different ways it works
